For this blog post i will be talking about the last couple chapters of the book. I can't imagine what it is like for Bella to move to a new town. She will need to make new friends and completely start over. I personally think that would be good...but also bad. The good part would be that you can start off completely fresh and with a clean slate. No old grudges or fights would have to be remembered and you can make new friends and you wont have a bad reputation. Starting in a new school would be so fun because you can change who you are if you want and maybe make yourself more focused on school and try hard. For me that would be really good because i would have less people to talk to or text or im or talk to on facebook. Even though there are good things that come whit moving to a new town there is also bad stuff. Bella doesnt really liek starting in the new school because she gets alot of attention on her and everyone in the whole town knows shes coming. When she starts her first day all the guys start to talk to her and like her. So many of the guys ask her to go to the spring dance with them, but she politly declines. Poor bella because she is pretty shy...but who knows maybe she will meet someone to help her come out of her shell.

For this blog post i will be discussing the relationship between Bella and her father, Chief Swan or also known as Charlie. In the begining of the story Bella is living with her mother but decides to go move in with her father so her mom can travel around the country with her new husband. At first Bella and her father kind of have some awkward tention between them and dont really have a lot to talk about or anything really in common. ITs hard for bella to tell her father whats new and going on in her life because she doesnt really want him invading her personal privacy and space. She doesnt tell her father about Edward until he wants to take her to go play baseball with his family. Even though she is new to the town and doesnt know a lot of people, her father knows everyone. He is always liek ohh bella i know that person, nice family! Or he will be like bella i think you should stay away from those people because they arent the best people around the neighborhood. I think this is hard for bella because she cant really trust her father, but she eventually gets used to it.

Blog post 3

For this blog post i will be talking about how Edward and Bella's relationship has developed. In the begining of the story edward acts like he hates bella, and bella acts liek she hates edward. They both ignore eachother and dont have much to say to eachother. After a couple weeks of being in forks and being edwards lab partner, bella and edward finally start to talk. After awhile they start to be come very close and once edward saves bella from being smashed by a truck, they are captivated with eachother. Edward then starts to drive Bella to school, they ask eachother questions and bella eventually finds out that edward is a vampire. When she figures this out she isnt scared and wants to know more about edward. They become very close and in love and spend a lot of time together and Edward would do anything to protect bella from anyone and is very protective over who she even talks to.They hang out almost everyday and even one night edward spends the night. They dont kiss or anything because edward cant handle it yet, but i predict that eventually they will get married and bella will turn into a vampire because she cant gget much older than edward otherwise that would be very weird and it wouldnt be right.

For this blog post i will be talking about the quote "and so the lion fell in love with the lamb." This quote is a comparison but also at the same time in a way personification. Its taking the lion, and saying it fell in love with a lamb. This quote was said by edward to bella in one of the chapters. They are talking and edward uses this to show that he is the lion, who is very harmful and even thought they look soft and cuddly really arent. The lion represents that even though he looks cute and cuddly he isnt. Also shows that he is very harmful. The lamb is used to show what bella really is. She is the little innocent creature who is very fragile and can be hurt very easy. She is easy to break and in edwards case want to eat. In real life the lion's eat the lambs, and usually vampires eat humans...not fall in love with them. But in this case edward and bella falll in love which isnt usual and very unnatural. Even though their love isnt normal they love eachother and will continue to love eachother no matter what. Edward will always be there to protect Bella and will not harm her.

REFLECTION

For this quarters outside reading i will be reading Twilight written by Stephenie Meyer. I chose this book because i've heard so much about it and ive also fallen in love with the movie. Everyday i hear something new about twilight and everyone is always recommending to read it, so i decided this would be a great time to try it! This book has my two favorite things...action and romance. The connection between bella and edward is so strong and everyone always wants that fairytale relationship. But im not sure how long their relationship will be that fairytale because there are no vampires in fairy tales.

Someone overcoming odds

The Gosslin family has been through a lot. Kate, the mom has had to go through to pregnancies, one with twins, and the other with sextuplits. After that they have had to live with 8 kids and supply them with food and the everyday essentials. It must be really hard for them to overcome the odds of every one of their sextuplits to be healthy and have no complications. They have to have enough money for everyday life and plus the huge expence of sending every single one of their kids off to college. ITs alreay hard enough for one family with maybe two kids to pay for them but with eight thats a whole other story. All these kids have beat the odds of being healthy and having no disabilities or birth deffects. Everyone is normal, and aaden is the only one who has glasses. This whole family works together to make this a strong bonded family. They are always loving and care for eachother and are happy with their lives.

Love

Gossip Girl Tv show

Love. Its a word everyone says weather they really mean it, or if they don't. Sometimes love can make you really happy, or it can destroy you. In this episode of Gossip girl, Blair tells chuck she loves him. For a long time blaire has felt this emotion growing inside of her. I know how this feels. When you really love someone sometimes all you can do is want the best for them weather its them dating someone else, or them destroying their life by abusing drugs and alcohol. Once Blaire told Chuck she loved him, he just responded with "well thats just too bad". Hearing this broke Blaire's heart. Love can be bullshit at times, it can break you, and it can make you just want to cry and cry, but as this is happening it's making you stronger. After a long time of thinking about what Blaire said, Chuck realizes he made a huge mistake and goes back to Blaire...It's not too late. She holds him in her arms as he cries to her and tells her how sorry he is. Blaire is so happy. Have you ever felt that one time when you are so happy that you don't think you could ever be happier and just want to cry? Love has the power of doing that to you. Knowing that he will hurt Blaire, Chuck leaves while she is asleep. Abandonment. Love has that crazy power to do the extraordinary, or the power to hurt people. At the end of the day, Love is that one thing that could either make you or break you. Don't say the word unless you really mean it. Everyone says that love hurts but thats not true. Loneliness hurts, rejection hurts, loosing someone hurts. In reality love is the one thing in this world that covers up all the pain and makes us feel wonderful again.

In the story twilight its about two teens who fall in love, only one problem...one is a vampire. These two have to fight to keep their relationship alive and strong. They face so many obsticles along the way, including another vampire. Edward and the other vampire start fighting. Edward tries to protect Bella from being the other vampires next meal. In one scene these two fight in the dance studio where Bella used to dance. This is an ongoing war between these two vampires over one girl. During this war the two vampires get hurt and use their powers against one another. Finally the Cullen family comes and helpes edward kill the other vampire, and luckly Bella is only kind of hurt but will be just fine. Even thought they got rid on one vampire doesnt mean there wont be war's with another. Edward and Bella need to work together and be strong to fight this ugly battle in order to stay alive.

Colonization

Even though africa is a huge continent and there are many different countries and you would think that every part of it would have some sort of civilization, you are wrong. This article talks about how not every part of Africa has colonization or civilization. Some parts are impossible to live in because of the climate, and the surrounding areas. Africa is also made up of clans, who move around from place to place depending on the weather, land, and where the food is at the time. They will travel all around africa to find their next meal and trade items. Having clans in Africa sometimes means that the government doesnt really control them and cant do a legitamate count on the population and where people live.

Global Warming. Everyone knows about it and either they believe in it...or they dont. Everywhere around the world it keeps getting warmer. Weather its from the cars, the builidings, or us, it is happening. Scientists have been doing so much research on this issue that is effecting our whole world. The polar bears might become extinct because of this issue. This article talks about the scientists researching this issue. They found a lot of evidence that global warming is there. Another scientist claims that global warmin is 'unequivocal' and that the cause of global warming is that the human is most likely the cause of this global problem. The worlds temperatures have been climbing since the 1950's and at this rate it might not stop unless we cut down on all our pollustions and find other ways to go through everyday life without so much chemicals that is literally destroying our earth right in front of our eyes.

There have been so many holidays that have been invented, but this one to me should be one of the most important. This holiday is about family, love, and Fidelity. This is a day to spend with the people you love most. This day is kind of like Edina's 'unplugged night'. On unplugged night teachers arent supposed to give kids homework and not have any activities scheduled for the night. So then the families can hang out together, play games, and eat a family dinner. This night is important because it allows families to get connected and share all the exciting things that have been going on in their life. On russia's Family, love and fidelity day this allows a whole day for people to surround themselfs with the people who care about them most. It can push all the negative things out of your life for just one day and make you forget about your problems and just have a day where you can be yourself and relax and chill with the family!

Bollywood movies. Everyone has seen one, and everyone loves them, the indian people especially. One man even says that how could you not love them? You are born with them. Its not just the Indians who love the Bollywood movies, its the rest of the world. Bollywood movies have been seen everywhere and there is a wide range of them also in different languages. Everyone loves the Bollywood movies because they are 'pre-cynical. They say that Bollywood loves to portray ture love, motherhood, and melodramatic. Wherever you go, or whoever you talk to has probably seen a Bollywood movie and loved it.

Each culture has their own food 'specialty'. We might think that there is one kind of chinese food, but in reality there is many different kinds from the different places in china. The Hunan cuisine is very special. It comes from a sub-tropical, humid, and warm climate. This culutre's food is made up of alot of rice, garlic, shallots, and chillies. They like to have a mixture of flavors at the same time, including sweet and sour, and hot and sour. Cultures can be so different and you can tell by the different types of food. Chinese food can be known around the world and the US. You can go to resturants and try many different types of food.

The author says that 'everyday we wish', weather its wishing on a star, at 11:11, or just wishing in general. People can wish for whatever they want, even change. Everyone makes the choice to wish for change and they can be the ones who can do it. Change is something you shouldn't wait around for it to happen, you should be the one to go out and do it. WE are the people who can make the right choices, and even sometimes the wrong. Change is something to improve your life and make it worth while. We cant have our errors determine our life and lead us down the wrong path, we have the power to change it and live our life how we want to.

HOPE

GOSSIPGIRL

for this blog, i watched an episode of gossip girl. Chuck's dad has been in a huge car accident and died. Chuck lost all his hope and just wanted to give up on life. There is one person who never stopped believing in him...Blaire. She would do everything for him, she took care of him after the accident and even brought him to the funeral. Chuck was so down in the dumps that he would just keep pushing blaire away even though she kept trying to help. One day, after the funeral chuck stormed out of the room with blaire right on his tail, she followed him out to his limo, there she confessed her love to chuck and said that she wont loose hope in him and she will stick with him through it all because she loves him. His only response was "thats just too bad" and then drove away. Blaire then was so sad about this whole incident and tried to just move on and forget about him. A couple days later, Blair's housekeeper tells her that someone is waiting for her in her room, it was chuck. She runs to his side and holds him while he cries. Blaire never lost hope in chuck, and even though he might have for a little bit, she was there for him until he realized it. Even though sometimes in life you loose hope there is someone out there who will be there to listen, to be a shoulder to cry on, or to hold your hand through it all.

The article I found was called Obama And the Rise of Secular Spirituality by Deepak Chopra and Dave Stewart. This article was written about how Obama is a secular spiritual leader though he is unaware of it. The authors think that Obama is a lot like Martin Luther King, Jr. because they both believe in having unity, freedom, peace, and nonviolence. I think Obama will be good for our nation and will be able to help and lead us through this hard time. His race alone gave enough inspiration and the flood of hope and optimism. Although he may not know it Obama has what it takes to lead this nation. You have to have hope and you have to believe in yourself to survive, I believe and Obama has it all.

Gender and gender roles

In this world, women have never been treated as equally as men. As history progressed women have earned more rights and they have become more powerful, but still not at the same level as men. In an Arizona immigration detention center the women were not treated very well. When people investigated this, they saw that the authorities were being too aggressive towards the women. Now there is a big argument because the workers there are saying its apart of the law enforcement. The detention centers have been under pressure before to make their detention center better and improve its conditions. They said they would, but the law wont take effect until 2010. One woman who was held there experienced abdominal pain after undergoing female genitel mutilation from africa was told just to drink water, but later was brought to the hospital and they found a big cyst. These people at the detention centers need to treat these women with more respect. Just because they are women doesnt mean its okay to treat them this way.

A Different Culture

In the book, Infamous, the characters live a different life then me. In my life I usually just go to school, come home, hang out with friends, or do an after school activity. In the story, these kids live at their school and only go back home on occasional weekends and holidays. These kids are so spoiled and have their own penthouse apartments, chauffeurs, and private airplanes. These kids can do whatever they want because they are so spoiled and their parents are always gone vacationing or doing something related to their job. When the parents are gone, these kids sure now how to break out the party and get in some trouble. These kids live a totally different life than me and have a different culture.

overcoming a struggle/ facing a difficulty

Over the past few weeks Jessica Simpson has been strongly critisized for her weight gain. Being fat and getting noticed is worse, but for her EVERYONE is noticing it and criticizing it. Just because she is famous, and supposed to be ' stick thin' doesnt give people the right to say all this mean stuff about her. If i were in her position i dont even know what i would do. But good for her, she has the guts to go back onstage with skinny leggings on and show the world that she has thick skin and wont let a stupid little thing hurt her and nock her down. Her fans have been so loyal and helped her get through it, and at the end of the day thats all that matters.

Natural Disasters, like an earthquake, cause many problems. In this case two little girls, 7 and 9, died. Problems like these can effect people's lives instantly. Earthquakes cause so many problems. They can cause people to loose everything, houses, jobs, and in this case lives of their loved ones. Natural Disasters are unpredictable, and unstoppable. It would be really cool if we could prevent these disasters and be able to save the lives of the people. Even though the earthquake happens in liek a second, it takes so much longer to get over everything and put your life back together.

To me, celebrities can always pull off cool kid names. This time Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck named their new baby girl Seraphina Rose Elizabeth. This is a really cool name and ive never really heard her first name before! Some celebrities do the really weird names like Apple, Banjo, or Camera. This one is different..but at the same time very unique and not weird! They have pretty normal names compared to some other people in the world. For the past couple months Katie Holmes and her family have been living in New York while she has been starring in Broadway's All My Sons. Last month we read this play also. We learned about social responsibility and more lessons regarding the play. Katie stared on Broadway for a while and now its time to say goodbye. All her co-stars said that she was a very strong working actor and has a good work ethic. Katie's husband, Tom Cruise, was their number one fan. Obama's wheels: Secret Service to unveil new presidential limo

Now that Barack Obama is going to be the new president of the united states, the secret service thought it would be cool to get him a new limousine. Since Obama likes going green and hybrid cars, this is supposedly hybrid also...even thought it burns desil fuel. THe car is a cadillac, but very ugly on the outside. Half of it looks like a really nice car, then the other part looks like a tank. This car has 8 inch think windows and doors and can withstand a 'direct hit from an astroid.' Another thing thats really cool about this is that when the president goes inside the car he cant hear any noises from the everyday life outside, so its very secluded. Even though you cant hear outside, you are still connected to the outside world..there is internet and phones in the car too! This car sounds like it will be a good thing for the new president!

Finally Bristol Palin had her baby, after a media frenzy during the election when she announced her pregnancy. She is 18 years old and now is engaged to her baby's father Levi Johnston. Her new baby boy was born on december 28th and his name is Tripp Johnston. Sarah Palin then said in a statement to the press that she is very happy about this child and that Bristol and Levi will be wonderful parents and take good care of their baby. Bristol added that she couldnt imagine her life without her child now. Sarah says that at first when they told them about the pregnancy she looked at the situation with fear and dispair, but now she is thrilled and 'over the moon' about her new grandchild.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston's son, Jett died friday at their Bahama's vacation home. He was 16 years old. Jett suffered a seizure and then hit his head on the bath tub in the bathroom. He was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the police someone who worked in the house found the boy unconscious sometime in the morning. When Jett was two years old he was diagnosed with Kawasaki disease. It causes the arteries to be inflamed.It can be treatable, but in some cases it can cause lasting heart damage. Jett also suffered from asthma. He has had a history of seizures before. John and Kelly also have a daughter, Ella Bleu, who is 8. I feel really bad for the family, and hopefully things will turn out better for them this new year.
